Thankful Tree #PAWsomeGifts #ClausAndPaws

All opinions are mine alone. #PAWsomeGifts #ClausAndPaws #CollectiveBias This Thanksgiving, I wanted to do something special for our cat, Rose. I have a Thanksgiving light up tree that I put up every year, but I wanted to turn it into a 'thankful tree' to appreciate our cat. I created some leaves for the tree that we could hang up on it every time Rose did something good. If Rose earned 5 leaves on the tree, we would fill her  Temptations® Snacky Mouse  with her favorite treats from MARS Pet at Walmart . If she was bad, we would take a leaf away... Rose tends to 'sneak' into our garage at times when I'm loading it up with the kids backpacks in the morning or unloading groceries. So, the thankful tree is to encourage good behavior and to show her that we appreciate her and are thankful for her good behavior! Shop for Rewards for your Cat   I visited my local Walmart store

Beach Cottage Spa Bathroom

Sometimes it's nice to change things up a bit. My two bathrooms were decorated in a very similar look and since I made over the main bathroom so many times in so many different colours, I decided to change the 2nd bathroom using things I already had on hand. I really do love sandy beige and white together.  It makes me think of beaches and sunny weather, so I pulled out all the accessories I had in those colours and swapped out the old look for the new.  What I love about this change is that the sand and white really work well with the sand coloured paint on the walls and the beige and white flooring. November Monthly Goals

Happy Halloween everyone! We are going to have weather in the mid-70's today, so trick or treating tonight will be nice! Everyone enjoy your day and stay safe... I know I'll be stuffing my face full of my favorite Halloween candies (Snickers, PB Cups, etc., etc.) all day. ;) This year I've decided to set  three monthly goals  for myself each month. These will be lighter goals that I should be able to finish within the month. I used to do yearly resolutions, but I wanted to try out monthly goals this year. I am really enjoying it so far and I feel like I accomplished a lot with my January-October Goals. The recap for my October Goals will be at the bottom of this post. Here are my November Goals! 1.  Decorate House for Christmas I have a Holiday Home Tour I am doing with some other bloggers in early December and I wanted to get a head start on my Christmas decor. I always decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving, but we are going to be busy and it'd be nice to decorate BE

The Creative Corner Link Up Party & Weekly Recap - 10/30/16

Welcome back to our DIY/Craft Link Up Party! Thank you for stopping by every week! Today's Feature is Thanksgiving Pies To Go   by Bloom Designs. I like to share a little recap of my week at the start of each party: Nathan's class was in charge of chapel last week. He also had his FIRST band concert. I was amazed at how good the music was given that they have only been playing their instruments for 7 weeks. On Friday Autumn had her Halloween party at school and after school we went to Powder Valley for a little hike. Autumn loved digging in the dirt to collect rocks (which she cleaned them all when we got home) and Nathan enjoyed hiking. You can barely make out Autumn in this photo digging in the dirt and Nathan is walking towards her. Friday night we had Trunk or Treat. We have decorated our car many times in the past, but decided we had too much else going on this year and just donated a bag of candy. I got a run in this week and it has been one of my better ones since ru

5 Running Tips for Beginners #HealthySkinSolutions

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #HealthySkinSolutions #CollectiveBias I wanted to share a little of my love for running today by sharing 5 Running Tips for Beginners ! I just finished training for the Chicago Marathon and it involved A LOT of long training runs on Saturdays. I ran with my running group and we all felt accomplished yet quite sweaty, dirty and grimy afterwards. One of the tips that I will share today is what Mother Dirt products are and why they're great to use after a long and sweaty run! 5 Running Tips for Beginners   1.  Do What Works For You And Your Schedule When I first started running, I ran mostly at home on the treadmill. My kids were younger then and were in bed by 7:30 p.m., so I would run after they were in bed. I would read books on my Kindle while running on the treadmill and it wasn't so bad. When I stopped working and became a stay-at-home-mom/blogger I started to run outsid
