Magic Reindeer Food Printable {7-Day Free Trial with GraphicStock!}

ReindeerFood1_650
Is everyone ready for Christmas? The kids have their last day of school today (and it is a half day!) and then they are off for TWO whole weeks! Every year I have them make Magic Reindeer Food and this year I wanted to make a special printable for it. Since I had a million items on my to-do list this week, I didn't have a lot of time to devote to it. GraphicStock came to the rescue by providing me access to thousands of holiday clip art images and backgrounds to choose from. All I had to do was type in 'reindeer background' and scroll down a bit and I had the perfect image!

How to Make a Printable with GraphicStock

Untitled
GraphicStock is THE online destination for stock images! They have over 250,000 graphics, icons and vectors and more being added daily. The creation opportunities are truly endless! You'll see in the image above that I had 354 results after I typed in 'Reindeer Background'!

Untitled Untitled
I selected a reindeer background image and then decided to download the EPS version of it. I also had the choice of a PSD (Photoshop Document) and JPG (for the web).

Untitled Untitled
I downloaded the EPS version, because it gives you vector art which can be broken up into pieces. I wanted to delete the 'Merry Christmas' on the image and did so in Adobe Illustrator. If you don't have Illustrator, you may want to try PICMonkey free software. Then, I opened the EPS in Adobe Photoshop and added a white box to the right of the reindeer.

Untitled Untitled
I wanted a little bit of the background to show through the white box, so I set the Opacity of it to 80%. Then, I added the text above and inside the box.

Print
This might have been a lot to understand if you aren't familiar with Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, so I am also offering a free download of the printable HERE.

ReindeerFood4
I set up this printable on a little plate stand with the reindeer food and two clear cellophane bags with bows on them. I'll let my kids take the little scoopers and scoop some food into them for the reindeer. You might also want to give the kids some baby carrots to toss outside. :)

ReindeerFood3
The bowls contain oatmeal, red/green sprinkles and sugar with little scoopers.

ReindeerFood1
I usually do this on the night before Christmas every year. The kids love this tradition and I am sure the reindeer do, too!

5 Ways to Bring Spring Into Your Home

The weather here in St. Louis has gone from 70 degrees to tornado watches/warnings and now to possible snow/ice this weekend. Whew! I am SO ready for Spring and for Daylight Saving Time. Today I'm sharing with you how to bring Spring to your home sooner with 5 Ways To Bring Spring Into Your Home . Bringing a little Spring into your home is rather easy. You don't need to change up your entire decor, at least not yet... What I try to do is add little touches here and there. 1. Spring Wreaths One way that I bring Spring into my home is by placing a Spring wreath on my front door or on some of the interior doors in the home. My absolute favorite Spring wreath that I've done is my Split Pea Wreath below, but I'm currently working on a Tulip wreath which I'll be sharing in a couple of weeks! I'm also sharing a couple of other Spring wreaths that I've made below: Split Pea Wreath with Burlap Bow Some other Spring wreaths I've designed:   Simple Spring Hoop Wrea

I’m so excited to tell you about the adventure-packed new medieval animated series for kids from TeamTO,  My Knight and Me ! I'm also sharing a craft that you can work on with your little Princess- a Princess Smart Mirror! This mirror isn't really 'smart', but it is sparkly, wrapped in ribbons and even monogrammed with your favorite princesses initial! In the cartoon  My Knight and Me  they do have a smart mirror and this mirror will prompt your child with plenty of imaginative play! This show is currently airing on the Cartoon Network weekdays at 12 p.m. My Knight and Me is for kids ages 6-10 and follows the quests of a colorful and charismatic trio of knights in shining armor: loyal, street-smart Jimmy the Squire; daring and determined Cat the Princess; and bold and courageous Henri of Orange, Jimmy’s dad and a charmingly inept, yet passionately chivalrous knight who might not be the most efficient protector of the realm – but sure is the funniest! Together, the kni
