I'm back today with my February Currently post. I always enjoy updating y'all on my life happenings.

Currently...

Facebook Live on Hometalk!

In March I am going to be on Facebook Live sharing one of my crafts from last year... in fact, one of my TOP posts of last year! I'm working out the details with them, but I will be sure to let you all know the date and time that it'll be live and I'd love LOTS of hearts and support!! My husband has kindly volunteered to be my 'camera man' and let's say... it's going to be lots and lots of FUN! Nothing like stepping out of my comfort zone to do something new, RIGHT?!! ha! :)

This Weeks Meals (As Seen on IG Stories)
MealsIGStories
I am starting something new on Instagram Stories (follow me on Instagram HERE). From time to time, I share what I am cooking for dinner on Instagram Stories and some of you are always asking me for the recipe. Since it takes me extra time to look it up and type the link into Instagram, I thought it'd be easier for me to start a Pin Board on my Weekly Meal Recipes!! Brilliant, right? I will keep 2-3 weeks of recipes in there, so if you see me cooking up a dish and don't have time to look up the recipe right away... it'll be there for awhile! After a few weeks go past, I'll move the recipe back over into the correct food board. I'm SO excited about this... so, go right now and JOIN my Pin Board HERE so you can try out the recipes I love to make for my family.

DevaCurl BuildUp Buster
IMG_0181
I also have this THIRD Product to share with y'all. I seriously was sent a lot of great products this month to review. This product is really unique and I've never tried anything like it. This is DevaCurl's new BuildUp Buster, which uses micellar technology to remove the buildup that some products may leave on your hair. It does this without stripping your hair of essential moisture and even has abyssinian seed oil in it to help boost shine and jojoba to moisturize. I like to use this product when I'm using a Shampoo that does not have a huge lather to it or when my hair is just feeling weighed down from a lot of products. It really does make your hair feel SO clean and manageable- I just love it!

Half Training
Not a whole lot to report, but I've been doing all of my half training runs on the dreadmill and I'd like to get outside to run once a week once the weather warms up a bit. I have been doing all of my runs at 8:50 pace, so I am working hard towards that sub 2:00 finish time! I've also been adding incline to .35 of each mile, so I hope that will help once I get back outside to train. I've been doing my Jillian Shred workouts twice a week to break up the running and to workout my core. I've also been sort of interested in starting to work on pull ups, Brian has a bar downstairs I could practice on. My upper body strength is pretty weak compared to my legs! So, sorry... no pretty outdoorsy photos to share! I also miss my training group, I decided not to sign up for winter training with them. A lot of others skipped out on the winter training, too... I would like to do half summer training with Fleet Feet again (not full!!). It is amazing, though... about 30 people from Fleet Feet just finished up a RUNNING Cruise! I had never heard of such a thing, but they got to run on a lot of different islands in the Caribbean! How fun is that? I must say, I was a little jealous!

Ten Things I've Learnt About Love - Sarah Butler
This book was a little different and sad... I wish it had ended differently. This book takes place in London, a city I hope to travel to travel to in the near future. It is about Alice, who has been traveling aimlessly for years and comes home to her dad and two sisters. She comes home, because her dad is in hospice. However, the story also introduces Daniel, who is a homeless man that has been trying to find Alice for years. Alice is in fact his daughter, yet she does not know this as it has been a deep family secret kept from her. In this book, you'll find how Daniel tries to find Alice and develop some sort of a relationship with her, so he can tell her he's her father. This book is written beautifully, everything little piece is described in such vivid detail... it is as though you're looking at a painting.

Out of the Spin Cycle: Devotions to Lighten Your Mother Load - Jen Hatmaker
This is a devotional book for moms that I have been reading on Mondays and Fridays while I wait in the pick up line for the kids at school. There are 40 devotionals total and they are about 5 pages long each. I'm on devotion 9 right now. These are just a delight to read and I only read these twice a week, so I have a little time to ponder what I read. So, I read this book on Mondays and Fridays, on Tuesdays and Thursdays I read a chapter in the Bible... for instance, right now I am reading through Revelations. Then, on Wednesday I read Jesus Calling. I've already read through Jesus Calling once, so once a week has been nice for now. I have the Jesus Calling with Evening Devotionals, too, so I may try and do those once in awhile.

Here are a couple of passages from the book that I've loved so far:

"The Kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into a large amount of flour until it worked all through the dough." (this is verse 33 from Matthew 13)

And this...

"For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him." Matthew 12:34-35

Jen then goes to say... Goodness in equals goodness out. No goodness in equals no goodness out. That speaking with kindness, leading with patience, etc. is GOOD in. Motherhood is hard, that is why we need God. If nothing good is store up in us, how will we ever draw patience or grace? This was in Devotion 7, one of my favorites so far!

I have been wanting to read Jen Hatmaker's book For the Love and I will definitely be reading it once I finish this devotional!

Bread and Wine: A Love Letter to Life Around the Table - Shauna Niequist

This is a book I read last year, but I've recently decided to start trying out recipes that are in the book. My goal is to make one recipe each week until I try all the ones that interest me. The first one I will be trying out this week, the 'Simplest Dark Chocolate Mousse'! I plan to make this on V-Day for my hubby. I can't wait and it only has 3 ingredients! :) Has anyone else tried any of the recipes in this book and which ones are your faves? Please let me know in the comments!

Lauren from Mom Home Guide is also sharing her Currently post today!

5 Ways to Bring Spring Into Your Home

The weather here in St. Louis has gone from 70 degrees to tornado watches/warnings and now to possible snow/ice this weekend. Whew! I am SO ready for Spring and for Daylight Saving Time. Today I'm sharing with you how to bring Spring to your home sooner with 5 Ways To Bring Spring Into Your Home . Bringing a little Spring into your home is rather easy. You don't need to change up your entire decor, at least not yet... What I try to do is add little touches here and there. 1. Spring Wreaths One way that I bring Spring into my home is by placing a Spring wreath on my front door or on some of the interior doors in the home. My absolute favorite Spring wreath that I've done is my Split Pea Wreath below, but I'm currently working on a Tulip wreath which I'll be sharing in a couple of weeks! I'm also sharing a couple of other Spring wreaths that I've made below: Split Pea Wreath with Burlap Bow Some other Spring wreaths I've designed:   Simple Spring Hoop Wrea

Princess Smart Mirror {My Knight and Me}

I’m so excited to tell you about the adventure-packed new medieval animated series for kids from TeamTO,  My Knight and Me ! I'm also sharing a craft that you can work on with your little Princess- a Princess Smart Mirror! This mirror isn't really 'smart', but it is sparkly, wrapped in ribbons and even monogrammed with your favorite princesses initial! In the cartoon  My Knight and Me  they do have a smart mirror and this mirror will prompt your child with plenty of imaginative play! This show is currently airing on the Cartoon Network weekdays at 12 p.m. My Knight and Me is for kids ages 6-10 and follows the quests of a colorful and charismatic trio of knights in shining armor: loyal, street-smart Jimmy the Squire; daring and determined Cat the Princess; and bold and courageous Henri of Orange, Jimmy’s dad and a charmingly inept, yet passionately chivalrous knight who might not be the most efficient protector of the realm – but sure is the funniest! Together, the kni
