I like to share a little recap of my week at the start of each party:
We had a wonderful and healthy Christmas! I couldn't have asked for more! My family came over to our house on Christmas Eve and we celebrated and on Christmas we went and saw Brian's family in Rolla.
We have some family traditions during the holiday season. One of them is to make sugar and gingerbread cookies from scratch with homemade icing. If you ever need a good recipe for any of these, I have it! It is so much fun to sit at the table and decorate them! We also play a stocking game every year, which is a lot of fun!
This 'Baby Pet Magic Mask Sheet in Soothing Cat' gets most unique gift reward this year. AND, I got a notice from the post office about a registered parcel that HAD to be signed for from Germany. Brian and I were scratching our heads over what it was... turns out, it was a gift that Brian ordered for me and had forgotten about. Sweet! These are diamond stud earrings from Happiness Boutique.
We had a couple of playdates during Christmas break. Nathan got to go to the Science Center with one of his friends and a grandma of one of Autumn's friend's took them to The Magic House, so I got a day alone with Nathan. We had a third playdate set up, but it fell through... which was ok! We really needed a day to relax at home.
For New Year's Eve, Brian and I enjoyed dinner at Flemings. It was delicious and thanks to my brother and SIL for the gift card. Brian even wore a suit for me (yes, I asked). After dinner we watched The Crown reruns on Netflix. LOVE IT.
The last day of break, I took Autumn to the American Girl store to get the doll of the year. I've never made reservations for lunch (just tea time), but they were booked! Darn! But, we had lunch in the food court at the mall and the kids got to ride on the merry go round. Then, we went to the coin store, because Nathan is collecting coins. They enjoyed their last day of break! Since the kids have been back to school, we are trying to get into our regular schedule. Autumn got to go to a Cookie Rally on Friday night, they had a lot of great crafts and games. She got to make her favorite cookie (she actually made two different ones!) and a headband. So cool!
