Chicago Marathon
UntitledNot the best photo, but this was from my Saturday training run from two weeks ago. :) I have so much fun running with this crew and most of them will be running the Chicago marathon with me on October 9th! It will be here SOON. We have two more Saturday training runs and then it'll be MARATHON time! I am so nervous!! I ran 20 miles this week and now we taper down on the mileage until the big day. Training for this marathon has been HARD works folks... HARD... but, the hard work has been put in and now I hope to enjoy the race!! Some people have asked me what is after Chicago? I honestly don't know. I want to keep my ties with the Fleet Feet folks, but I am just not sure if I want to invest in the time and cost of another marathon right now. So, we'll see...

Have You Heard of Tech Neck?
Untitled
StriVectin recently sent me this HUGE box to help me in my "neck" step in skincare! I didn't realize that on average, we check our phones an average of 221 times a day (probably more often for us bloggers!) and that this repeated motion can lead to neck lines and wrinkles called Tech Neck.

I tried all three of these products out on my neck and my favorite was the Instant & On-The-Go Tightening Neck Serum Roller! It just glides right on your neck without any mess! They also sent me two tubs of neck cream, the one with the yellow lid is their TL Advanced Tightening Neck Cream and it has an award winning formula. The neck cream with the white lid is my second favorite, because it has a lighter, refreshing texture for the day time! It is called TL Advanced Light Tightening Neck Cream. If you are on your phone all day, then you should definitely check out these products... who wants Tech Neck?!

Strivectin ALSO sent me their Multi-Action Restorative Cream! I just can't get over the texture of this cream, it is light and fluffy and like heaven on the skin! It targets the 12 visible signs of aging: fine lines, wrinkles, density, firmness, sagging, texture, dehydration, dullness, discoloration, clarity, resilience and enlarged pores. You can find out more HERE. The photo on the right shows how I look after using these products for several weeks! I've been really pleased with the results so far!

Invisalign Update!
Untitled 27070918246_0f5f01edfc_o
I am currently on Tray 15, which you can see the results in the photo on the left. My teeth looked like the photo on the right before I started. HUGE, HUGE difference. I am halfway done with Invisalign. I did a blog post about Trays 1-8 HERE and I plan to do another post about Trays 9-15 after I have my appointment tomorrow. I have been in Tray 15 for over a month now, because they took new impressions after Tray 15 and I will start all over with new REVISION trays (it'll be 10-15 more trays) starting tomorrow. They are going to move some buttons around, etc. so it'll be an interesting appointment. After I finish my revision trays, I will wear the last tray for 6 months and THEN I'll go to a lifetime night retainer.

Currently I have to wear the trays for 22 hours a day and they can be out for 2 hours during the day to eat, drink, etc. I can't WAIT to be done.

I need to decide if I want to do whitening on the last 3 days of each tray or if I want to do whitening the last 3 weeks of my Invisalign treatment. The orthodontist says that the bleach will 'stain' the trays, so doing it the last 3 days of each tray may be best. We'll see.

I will also be getting veneers put on my four front teeth (the two are chipped and bonded) after we finish the revision trays, which will improve the look of my smile greatly.

Free Samples with PINCHme!
Untitled
I received another PINCHme box last week and it was seriously my most favorite box yet! This box included Goddess Garden Erase the Day Mineral Removing Cleanser, a Tide Pod, Scotch Brite Scrubbing Dish Cloth, McCormick Taco Seasoning, Shea Moisture Face Mask, Blister Bliss Flip, a PINCHme tote and an Orchard Valley Harvest Cranberry Almond Cashew Trail Mix.

And, you can receive a PINCHme box, too for FREE! Click HERE to fill out a questionnaire that will find the best samples for you. On Sample Tuesday (Sept. 20 at 12:00 a.m. EST) you can select which samples you’d like to receive. No credit card is needed, it is FREE… all they ask is for your opinions and thoughts on the samples they send you.

I finished 'The Year We Turned Forty' this month by Liz Fenton & Lisa Steinke. This book is about three childhood friends that are given the option to relive their 40th year and to make some changes to improve their lives. This was a light read and I really enjoyed it, especially since I am 39 and almost 40. :) Currently I am reading Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel, which is a completely different read.

Peaches and Petals, August Box
Untitled
I usually do a video and dedicate an ENTIRE post to my Peaches and Petals box. However... the August box didn't arrive on my doorstep until the 16th of September. This was the second box that had arrived late and they were already guessing the September boxes wouldn't be out until October. SO, needless to say... I canceled my subscription. I was really sad, because I really enjoyed this box in the beginning. The photo above shows what I received in my August box and I'm just not sure if this box is up there with the other boxes at a $19.99 price tag. One of the items was a sticker... the pouch with the flowers is a jewelry storage bag, which is an item they upgraded since the box was late. I just bought a travel jewelry bag before our trip to Italy, but this one is much cuter! It also came with some Golden Girls cards (could have passed on these), a magnetic art hanger (daughter took this), a face bronzer (need to try, but I've partial to Pixi) and an anchor necklace in a rose gold color. The two Mint Julep mugs I purchased as extra, they were not part of the box. SO, since I canceled Peaches and Petals for now (maybe in the future I'll try again, maybe not) I needed a new box to try out. SO, I had a 20% off code for Fab Fit Fun and I'll be receiving their fall box. It looks mighty awesome and I can't wait to review it on the blog!

My Invisalign Journey (Trays 9-15) and Progression Photos

Today I am going to share a little more about My Invisalign Journey with you. Back in May, I shared my first Invisalign post HERE and talked about my first 8 trays with Invisalign. Today I am going to share some information and progression photos for Trays 9-15. And, no, I am not done with Invisalign yet. After your first round of trays (I had 15 trays), they start revision trays. Unfortunately, I found out I have 18 revision trays... I am currently on tray 3 of those. I will continue to share updates as my progress continues. I talk about why I went with Invisalign and what the entire process was like in my first post (see link below). I am not going to repeat it all in this post, but I will share my progression photos with you. If you have any questions, be sure to let me know in the comments. I've decided to keep Currently active again for 2017! It is just such a fun post to do each month and I love updating all of you on what I've been up to besides the usual DIY/outfit posts!  Currently... Beyond Thrilled to see SO many #ShowYourMug Photos! Recently I worked with Community Coffee on a Giveaway, where you would have a chance to win a year's worth of free coffee in exchange for showing your mug and tagging me and Community Coffee on Instagram. I was really surprised by how many of you shared your mugs! Below you'll see some of you that played along:      Again, thanks ladies for sharing your lovely mugs! I was so excited every time one of you tagged me and I got to read about your favorite mug! Running Goal I started training for my 10th (that's crazy!) half marathon yesterday! I haven't really set any specific goals for myself with half marathons, except to try to PR. However, I haven't PR'ed my 2:06 time in a couple years! After training ...

Monogrammed Tulip Wreath w/ Burlap Bow {12 Months of Wreaths}

Welcome back to 12 Months of Wreaths! Hi everyone! Welcome back to our third month of 12 Months of Wreaths! I have been seeing a lot of tulip wreaths lately and I wanted to try my hand at making one myself. Wow, this wreath looks complicated, but it has been one of my quicker wreaths that I have made. I kept it simple, with a burlap bow on one side with tulip buds cascading out on both sides. I also added a script monogram 'A' to the other side. The tulip buds are already starting to pop up in my yard, so this wreath couldn't have been made at a more perfect time! Welcome to 12 Months of Wreaths - March!
