Neutral Heart Wreath for V-Day {12 Months of Wreaths}

HeartWreathRoom1_650
Hi everyone! Welcome to the first month of 12 Months of Wreaths. In the past, I have done other '12 Months of' series, such as my Freezer Meals series in 2014 and my Drinks series in 2015. In 2016, I decided to take a break from the series and I did the quarterly Silhouette Challenge instead. I've missed this series and decided to bring it back this year and I even have two other bloggers joining me (plus, some guest bloggers will be joining us from time to time!). So, be sure to check out all of our wreaths each month this year!

This month, I wanted to work on a wreath with a Valentine's Day theme. I've been really into neutrals lately in my home, so I came up with the idea of a Neutral Heart Wreath for Valentine's Day! I went to Hobby Lobby and looked for neutral papers in their scrapbook section. I found several papers with whites, golds, browns, etc. It was a lot of fun selecting the papers and then I got to work cutting out heart shapes on my Silhouette machine. After cutting the hearts, I glued everything to a embroidery hoop! It was really easy and this wreath looks wonderful on my newly painted white door with the gold monogram on the center of it.

Now I will share with you how I created this gorgeous wreath!

How to Create a Neutral Heart Wreath for Valentine's Day:
Untitled Untitled
First, you'll want to find several different heart shapes to use in Silhouette Studio. I made them a couple of different sizes to add some variety to the wreath. You'll want to set your cut settings differently for the type of paper you are cutting. I had a variety of papers with different thicknesses.

Spray paint your embroidery hoop white. You'll want to tie the knot for your 'hanger' before gluing the hearts on. I used a cordless hot glue gun to adhere the hearts to the hoop. Be sure to overlap the heart shapes while you glue them down.

This is a close up of some of the layering I did. I tried to vary the texture, pattern, color and size quite a bit.

And, this is how it looked when I was done!

My Invisalign Journey (Trays 9-15) and Progression Photos

Today I am going to share a little more about My Invisalign Journey with you. Back in May, I shared my first Invisalign post HERE and talked about my first 8 trays with Invisalign. Today I am going to share some information and progression photos for Trays 9-15. And, no, I am not done with Invisalign yet. After your first round of trays (I had 15 trays), they start revision trays. Unfortunately, I found out I have 18 revision trays... I am currently on tray 3 of those. I will continue to share updates as my progress continues. I talk about why I went with Invisalign and what the entire process was like in my first post (see link below). I am not going to repeat it all in this post, but I will share my progression photos with you. If you have any questions, be sure to let me know in the comments. Monogrammed Tulip Wreath w/ Burlap Bow {12 Months of Wreaths}

Welcome back to 12 Months of Wreaths! Hi everyone! Welcome back to our third month of 12 Months of Wreaths! I have been seeing a lot of tulip wreaths lately and I wanted to try my hand at making one myself. Wow, this wreath looks complicated, but it has been one of my quicker wreaths that I have made. I kept it simple, with a burlap bow on one side with tulip buds cascading out on both sides. I also added a script monogram 'A' to the other side. The tulip buds are already starting to pop up in my yard, so this wreath couldn't have been made at a more perfect time! Welcome to 12 Months of Wreaths - March!
